This is her “facebook.”

January 26, 2011

Am I the last person on the face of the earth that is not on facebook?  I’m starting to feel like it.  Apparently, many people even have facebook pages for their pets (click here to read the article on CNN).

Wow.

Frankly, I don’t think I’m missing out on much.

    • Thank you!

  2. I’m not on Facebook either. When people say that they’re going to add me, I tell them that I’m actually one of the three people left in the world who doesn’t have it. Ironic then that despite the incredible odds posed by being unattached to that ‘social network,’ I’ve managed to come across one of the other two people without even really trying. Now we just have to track down Number Three… we could start our own Facebook group!
P.S. This is a brilliant blog idea. Simple and unique. It works.

    • Thank you for the kind words. Are you sure there’s a third person? Because I’m starting to think it’s just us. 🙂

  3. Lol this is funny. I like the drawing 🙂 So true

    • Thanks!

  4. I can be included in that list of Facebook don’t-wanna-bes. I was on for a year or so, then decided I didn’t want to be part of the rabble, I also was concerned that I might lose the last vestiges of personal privacy. If they ever make it compulsory to be on Facebook, I will be the first to practice civil disobedience.

    • Yeah. Sometimes, it seems waaaaay too easy to get info on people.

  5. Oh but you ARE missing out! I have reconnected with old friends and built relationships with family members that i wasn’t very close with. It’s a great tool for someone who never writes letters, and lets be honest, who does?

    • I can see your point, but I have trouble keeping up with the people I’m currently in close contact with. Maybe it’s just because we have two little ones, but there just doesn’t seem to be any extra time for it.

  6. Same here…I ma not on FB either and wouldn’t want to be on it for a million years yet.
You blog is very unique 🙂

    • Unique, eh? Thank you… I think.

    • but that million and first year– look out 🙂 jk

  7. I joined facebook to stay in touch with my sisters who are living abroad. Other than that, its just a place for people to be nosey and snoop.

  8. I think this is probably the best use. My only sibling lives downstairs, so no need for facebook there…

  9. I’m putting you on my blogroll. You need to be shared…lol..

    • Thank you very much! I have actually been to your site several times, so that is quite a compliment!

  10. Nice! I think my grandmas would like it! One of my grandpas was on Facebook and I’m proud to say I was his first friend!!! I guess that makes me the best grandbaby! 🙂 My other grandma is on Facebook and uses it to keep in touch with my family, including one who lives in the Midwest and one in Nigeria… plus a lot of family in North Dakota and Norway! She doesn’t post much, but it’s nice that she can read what’s going on with everyone! Keeps her in touch with the outside world! 🙂 But your sketch is definitely more her style! 🙂

Oh, and once Facebook censored her!!! She’s the awesomest grandma!!!! 🙂 She used to be a nurse, so I guess it was a little to graphic for them… hahaha! 🙂

    • Your Grandma was censored by Facebook. That is hilarious!
