Question of the day: does this comic makes any sense to anyone outside the U.S.?

  1. Well, I would assume that that is the shape of Idaho – if not, then no!

    • Exactly!
Now I have to ask – have you heard of Idaho?

      • Yeah, it’s the past tense of ‘Ivanhoe’, right?

  2. Nope. No sense at all.

    • I thought that may happen.

Idaho is the largest/most famous state for potato production in the United States. It doesn’t matter where you go, you always find Idaho potatoes in grocery stores. I drew this particular potato in the shape of the state of Idaho.

Not as funny if it has to be explained… 🙂

      • Actually I was joking… acting the dumb Brit. 😀

  3. I would assume its a middle finger attitude! But I do enjoy your blog 🙂 We’re just as confusing over here in Blighty anyway so don’t worry.

    • Ha! If you’re curious about the actual explanation, I wrote it in answer to one of the above comments. 🙂

  4. Having been tickled by your drawings I have nominated you for the ‘One Lovely Blog’ award.

    • Thank you very much! I am honored that you chose to mention me. It is very flattering to know that my blog is being recommended to others by you.
      Thanks again!

      • You’re very welcome. 🙂

  5. I had definitely heard of Idaho potatoes. You’d be amazed how exposed us Aussies are to American culture/history.

    • I actually am amazed that you know of Idaho potatoes! Why on earth would anyone “down under” care about American vegetables?
